Mr. Olson had to quit because of the ceramics–the dust etc. was starting to impact his health. It was the strangest thing! I went back to visit one day and he had cut his hair and lost a buncha weight–did not even drink Mt. Dew anymore =P Then I heard he just moved away.

I was so upset to hear about Herm but at the same time so thrilled to see the outpooring of people his legacy as touched. He will be missed.

I’m sure this isn’t the best way to do this, but Megan plese tell me what happened to Mr. Olson. I have thought of him so often sense leaving school. I desperating would like to know.

wow.. I’m sorry to hear that.. While I’m stoked that we went to the same school, I knew Herm too, but not quite to the extent that you did. Mr. (Aaron) Olson was my art teacher and his classes are STILL impacting the way that I learn and create art to this day. When he fell ill and had to quit teaching, it wasn’t death, but I certainly felt the hollow that you must be experiencing today. I hope that his passing was quick and as painless as possible.
