Blank It

July 1st is your last day to preorder the Blank It Volume 1 book! And if you’re thinking “Oh, well I’ll just buy it when they go on the store later”, that might be a bad idea. See, I’m going to save whatever inventory doesn’t go to preorders for selling at the Minneapolis Indie XPO first. And if they sell out at MIX, then you guys are out of luck until we run another printing.

It’s not a threat, it’s just the way of things. Preorders, then MIX, then you guys can pick over the bones. I want you to have a book, so don’t delay, you have one day left.

So, it looks like my laptop is on the blink, which means no comic tonight (See update below). I’m going to see about getting it repaired tomorrow, or at least recovering the data off the hard drive so I can get back up and running on my desktop system.

I’m pretty sure it’s the GPU or the motherboard. But it’s not a hard drive crash, so let’s hope the Blank It comic and unprinted book are slumbering safely on the drive until I can get at them again.

You know I hate missing an update. I’m going to have something up tomorrow, even if it’s just the comic in a goofy, non-complete form.

Update: Because I love you guys and hate admitting defeat, I installed Photoshop and my tablet drivers onto my desktop (which was a herculean feat if you knew the details), recovered my comic templates thanks to the wonders of Dropbox, installed my fonts and junk, and voila! You don’t miss out on a comic tonight. Now I’m exhausted. See you guys later this week.

Story one is finished! Yes yes, what about the girl, what about the foxes, what about the blah blah. You guys are sooooo needy. Okay, so here’s the deal. Aric and I are going to take a fiver; well, more like a month or so to recoup and get a little break. Then we’ll fire back up into the next thrilling tale. But what about all that time inbetween? That… meantime? Aric and I are still going to update the site every Monday and Thursday with a comic, but it’s going to be a totally different tale. You’ll just have to wait and see.
