Happy New Years guys! We’re bringing the hiatus to a close. I don’t yet have a comic for you, but we’ll get rolling very shortly. Thanks for letting us have a little rejuvenation time, I hope all of you who ordered books and shirts around the holidays received them in a timely fashion.
Just a reminder, check out Northwind and The Mustache Rangers if you’re still bored and antsy. It won’t be much longer, I promise.
Number one. Blank It is going to be taking a brief hiatus. With new jobs and new babies come new comic schedules. And to avoid a lot of unneeded stress, we’re going to take a few weeks and figure out what schedule works to keep this comic on track.
So we will be working hard on the comic, getting ahead, and but mainly trying this and that to see what works for a new production schedule. Also, maybe babies will start sleeping through the night. That’d be nice.
Mark your calendars for the beginning of January. That’s when new Blank It strips will return.
We thank your for your support and understanding. We wouldn’t even be making this strip if it weren’t for our wonderful fans. So thank you again. And thank you.
Number two. My other creative side project, the Mustache Rangers, are starting a live weekly improv show at the newly opened HUGE Improv Theater in Uptown Minneapolis. It is 8pm on Thursdays, and is the low low price of 5 bucks.
If you live in the area, bring yourself, your wives, your husbands, your friends, your coworkers, and anyone else you know. Seriously. That is a long list of people to bring. But a show doesn’t continue if people don’t come to see it.
So help make this new show a success, and check out all the other wonderful show that are going on at HUGE Improv Theater. It’s a fantastic time for humor in the Twin Cities.
The comic is running late, so like, go eat some turkey or something. I’ll get this all caught up at some point, here.
Update: Due to the holiday, I just passed on updating for Thursday, and you get the next comic on time for today. I was able to spend the thanksgiving weekend with my family, and get some good heartfelt moments to keep.
I have plenty I’m thankful for, one of which is having such awesome fans. Thanks for allowing me an unscheduled reprieve, and for coming back all the same. You guys rock.
Sorry about the black and white comic. My new job schedule means I can’t stay up until the wee hours getting Blank It finished, which means I need to work on doing comics sooner. I’ll color it after work and nobody will be the wiser. I’ll try to fix my routine for the future.
Aric shipped out the last of the most recent orders this week, so if you’ve bought something like a book or shirt and haven’t received it by the end of this week, shoot us an email. We don’t want to have any orders slip past. Also, if you’re one of the people who’s asked me about buying original art, you’ll have to give me some time to recompile my art collections. Anything since 2010 is really… not organized. At all.
Anyhoo, on with your day. We’ll see you later this week with more of the usual.
