How Blank It Ends
It will be a long while before Blank It ends, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have the last strip planned out! For those of you who want a sneak peak, read on!
Panel 1
(Camera pulls out from previous day’s strip. It is laid out next to the previous strips, all against a white background.)
Panel 2
(Camera continues to pull out to reveal that all the strips are written on one grain of rice!)
Panel 3
(Camera pulls all the way out. Lemmo is holding a tiny brush and the piece of rice!)
Lemmo: I DID IT! I PUT X COMICS ON ONE PIECE OF RICE!
Panel 4
(Guy pokes his head through the door of the room. Just some guy. Who cares?)
Guy: SORRY, SOME OTHER DUDE JUST PUT X+1 COMICS ON A PIECE OF RICE. NICE TRY.
Lemmo: (sad)
THE END
Pretty good, huh?

Y’know, if everything else was up to par, I’d like that ending.
I’m not confident you’re not pulling my leg, and strictly speaking I’m not confident that any webcomic what hasn’t already end will have an ending rather’n just breaking down and dying, but hypothetically:
1) If you’re not pulling my leg,
2) If the rest of the comic is up to par,
3) If your webcomic proves to have a beginning, middle and end,
I’d be satisfied with that ending.

If that was the last comic, you would not have posted this.
… But that would be a nice ending anyway.

And I state that I would have posted it. Which I did.

I like it, just as long as it has a decent ending like Macksting says. If you leave us on a cliff hanger, lots of people would be angry.

I think I could even accept a cliffhanger. It just has to be good.

Who the hell says I’m gonna end this. I’m going the way of the Garfield with this strip.
Boy does Aric hate Mondays!

You mean you’re going to have someone else draw the strip while you go on and do Mr. Potato Head?
February 20th, 2009 at 10:24 am
That’s a funny ending.
But now I’m wondering whether that’s a for real ending or not…but by the time Blank It ends (should it end) hopefully so much time passes we’ll have forgotten and one of you shuffles us to the archives is like
“Told ya so”
Great stuff, guys!

I thought that, too. Either he felt free to pull our legs, or felt free to describe the end because it’s far away.
However, and Aric may well have reckoned with this before posting anyway, this has also stirred controversy and discussion. We’re studying all about how reinforcement of memories will make them resistant to extinction. I might remember this ending, hypo- or hyperthetical as it may be, long after the comic’s gone precisely because of this thread.
