Judging by Sock’s dialogue, he seems like a villainous character of some sort. Doesn’t help that when he starts speaking to them, Lemmo is being held up by a giant hand, as if that was the little fox’s plan.
Either way, I do have to wonder whether or not Socks was killed or duplicated.

Guys guys guys the title if this scene is “The Great Divide” which (at least to me) Implies that there will b 2 socksai (plural for socks, even though docks is already plural). My personal guess is a divide in personality (i.e a “good socks” and an “evil socks” or something similar but that’s just a guess.
I would actually find a sudden overtly insane amount of gore hilarious… but thats just me. OH GOD ITS ALL OVER ME AND OHGOD ITS STILL TALKING. heehee <3

To me, anyone who composes sentences well and uses big words speaks with a british accent. Also, since socks was originally a pair of (dirty?) Socks, being cut in half should revert him to his original form, or (*spoiler*) can’t bring myself to say it. “Awwwww… No!”
Also, in that first panel, it felt like socks was preparing to launch into his monologue and reveal how Aric and Lemmo were mere pawns in his evil plan.
