Sometimes Reality is Hard
I’m not really one to gripe. We got it good around here. A crisp, clean website, a solid show. And my life in general isn’t too bad to boot. But I just want to share with you a snapshot real quick. Tonight I got home from my day job, and after a pretty long commute, cooked dinner for my family, fed the baby and did my fatherly dues like dishes washing, car repair and hedge trimming. And when my wife went to bed and baby didn’t, I got to do the parenting solo and deal with what we in the biz call a “present from below”. Finally get baby to sleep, dog needs walking. Cat needs feeding. Yadda yadda.
Somewhere in there, this strip still managed to get drawn, just like it does every three to four days.
Folks, we don’t make money off this site. We don’t have any wares for sale (yet) and all the ad revenue goes right back into promoting the comic. This site is a hobby, and it’s one that people, not just me and Aric, make some sacrifices to keep going.
Anyways, that’s just a raw truth. I’m not asking for alms, but I’ll ask you this. Tell someone about the comic today. Someone who might not already be reading it. Pass along the URL. Share the fruits of our labor. That makes it all worth it in my book.

happy to share this comic with people i know. i can’t believe this is just a hobby for you guys! there are far less quality webcomic artists that make a living off of their comics. i’ll keep checking to see when you finally decided to make merchandise. :P

Wow, dude. Just. Wow.
I’ve already got one of my co-workers hooked on this. My boyfriend too. Hope it helps *clicks some ads*

I’ve shown it around. I’ve actually dragged people over to my computer to show off the strip! (check it out, no pants!) And I put a link on my links page over at “Adorable Desolation”.
I’m doing my part to get the-three-times-a-week-threat to become a reality! because more Blank It, is better.

My brother and I already love this comic, and he was referred by a friend of his. Don’t worry, your comic is getting around =D
I’ll drop a shout-out on my sheezyart page. Need to blow the dust off of it anyway.
Just had an awesome thought: It’d be really cool to buy Lemmo’s hat as merc. I’d totally buy it!

Your passion for this comic inspires me, I’ve been following this comic since the beginning, I stumbled accross you guys one day and just fell in love with it!
Even back then, when the comic was only a few strips old I was showing it to all my mates, and still a year on I’m sending out the good word about blank it.
Keep up the great work.

I’m always willing to promote this webcomic. I am proud to say that I was among the first of the readers, and I’m more than happy to share the joy with others. ^_^

Here are two of my dA promotions thus far. I did one for the cookie, but I didn’t like how it turned out, so I trashed it.

By god, I wish someone had let me know you had come back to comics last year. As I was, some friends and I were discussing the most important thing in the world (not being on fire) and I felt the need to revisit the archives. Glory be, I discovered a new strip!

SCUD Day – Savor the Comic, Unplug the Drama is July 8th! I want to post your link for everyone on that day :) *makes fliers for the coffee shops*
June 26th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Megan, that’s a heartfelt gesture! I just googled SCUD, and I think in that context they’re using Comic to mean Comedy and Drama (Comedic and Dramatic). But hey, allow folks to “savor the comic” any way they can, right? What better way than with Blank It!
June 30th, 2009 at 6:48 am
lol you’re probably right, but I savor your comic, so they should too ;)

and by drama, I totally meant the drama llama kind. The bad kind of drama.
But you already knew that ^-^;;
